She is an American Model, CEO & Television Personality. Ashley Alexis is internationally known, famous plus-size model and also the CEO of the Alexiss swimwear. She has also worked in reality show ’Oxygen’s FixMyMom’ along with her mother Velvet Smith. She has completed her graduation in communications from the Kaplan University. She belongs to Caucasian ethnicity.

She basically hails from Boston. She started her career when she was very young in 2006.She worked on many photo shoot assignments with different photographers. She successfully established herself in mainstream modeling industry where ladies with slim and trim bodies have always the domination. Even with her curved and big body, she established herself as a plus-size model.





 Her entry in modeling field was just by an accident. She had participated in ‘Miss Teen Massachusetts pageant’ contest. She won the contest and had a photo shoot after that. As I start to pack for my weekend in Miami for #SISwimSearch, I can’t help but reflect all the hard work, dedication, and tears that have brought me to this moment. I’ve been in this industry for 10 years professionally & 3 years before that just trying to prove myself. I remember applying to agencies and literally being told “you can’t be short & fat and expect to be a model.” So little 5’3 (5’4 on good days 😉) me decided to put in the leg work and figure it the hell out on my own. I was doing 8-10 photo shoots a week trying to build a portfolio and just show that I was worth someone’s time. When I wasn’t shooting, I was researching, when I wasn’t researching I was still trying to get an agency to just give me the time of day but as soon as they heard I was plus, it was game over. That day never came, but the day that @si_swimsuit noticed me, has! I’ve worked endlessly to get to where I am & I still feel like I have miles to go and mountains to climb. To prove that #BeautyIsNotASize in ALLLLL aspects. I may be 5’3 but my personality makes me 6 feet tall & that is something that has propelled me to this exact moment. Staying true to me and never giving up. Pursuing an MBA, creating a business, showing that women can truly make a freaking mark. I’ve never allowed myself to get excited about things because there’s a chance they can fall through and there’s a chance I may not make it to the next round but I’m going to go in there & give it absolutely everything I got because I finally feel like I’m in the right place, at the right time. I finally feel like this moment was truly meant for me. So I’m putting it into the universe & just trusting in myself. Ohhh, and it’s Nanna’s birthday this weekend and I know she’s cheering on from the best seat in the house. I believe in this moment.
